Ya ya....ive been going back and playing some of the older games. And i would like serious responses...not childish ones. Anyway....Having a problem running it. I used to be able to run it with no single problem at all.....but now when i play.....its a little bit choppy and after a few saves.....the models of the game go blurry and it KINDA freezes.....well i mean i can still move.....but i cant really see anything but blurry models. Im confused.....and was wondering if anyone here had any ideas what could be making that happen. Thanks, Joltzz.

If I had any idea, I'd post something constructive. I do not though. So, instead I'll just add another post to this thread and my post count to attract some attention.

it only happens with half life 2? seems like a driver conflict if it's only w/ hl2. If it were with all games, I'd say that it'd be a gfx/monitor issue but, dunno. Try an older gfx driver set to see if it works.

I'm with Adam on this one, some times newer graphics card drivers only solve modern or current problems and occasionally break old resolved ones for older games.

Just try rolling back to an older driver and see if the problem goes away.

Right click on My Computer (be it in the Start Menu or on the Desktop) and go to Manage. In the window that comes up click on Device Manager on the left. In the main window, click the plus next to Display Adapters. You should see your video card there. Right click on it and go to Properties, then to the Drivers tab. There should be a button there to Roll Back your drivers. It should bring up the entire list of drivers you've installed (unless you cleaned any out a while back, since sometimes the newer drivers conflict with old ones). Just pick on that looks close enough to when you play HL2 last.

Sounds like your card and/or driver cannot display a certain type of shader correctly.

Did you also try updating/reinstalling direct x or try running it on a different version?
